Bercaw – Johnson, Inc. was founded in 1979 in Wilmington, DE by Walter Bercaw and Wallace Johnson.  We are a family owned and operated construction company specializing in attractive renovations, additions, custom building and new construction.  We strive to create relationships with our clients that last long after the projects are completed.  These relationships are very important to us and have provided us with many instances of repeat business.    

We are fully licensed and insured in Pennsylvania and Delaware.  We operate out of Kennett Square but cater to Wilmington, West Chester and the surrounding areas.  We also maintain clients throughout the Main Line and down to the DE beaches.  We will come to you and provide a personal experience during your home upgrade. 

Since our inception, we have had the pleasure of constructing several custom homes ranging in size from 2,500 – 10,000 square feet.  We have also constructed numerous additions and renovations ranging in size from 600 – 5,000 square feet.  While we generally focus on residential projects, we also venture into light commercial work.  In our eyes, no job is too big or too small! 

The majority of our work involves extensive renovations to residences from varying ages of construction.  We are exposed to building techniques from the 18th century through the present.  Studying the methods used during various time periods challenges us to evaluate and solve problems that occur during the scope of work.
